In a Do or Die Situation upon water management Jal Shakti Abhiyan will Eradicate the Water crisis in India

Water is one of the most important substance on earth, all plants and animals must have water to survive. If there was no water there would be no life. Apart from drinking it to survive, people have many other uses for purposes. Despite being such a valuable thing water is being tremendously exploited, wasted and contaminated, that have cause lack of availability of fresh water resources suitable  even for drinking. Today India is in a very critical situation, if talk about water harvesting, water preservation , or saving water nothing have been taken under consideration, as a result the circumstances for water availability in India depleting at the fastest rate it can be. Fewer indications are as follows

  • On 13th September 2018 IMD says India have received 72% less rainfall than that of the previous year
  • 12 December 2018 Andhara Pradesh, Maharastra, Karnataka , Jharkhand, were declared drought.
  • 16th January 2019 The retreating Monsoon was not as effective as it has to be
  • 28 February 2019 IIT Gandhinagar managing drought early Warning system said 47% country’s states are drought.
  • March 29 States like Chennai and Bengaluru water depleted
  • Niti Ayog have warned by 2020 21 major cities ground water will get exhausted.

Considering and carefully observing the such terrible situation, the Modi goverment 2.0 have formulated JAl SHAKTI ABHIYAN that will work under the Jal shakti Ministery whose minister is none other than Gajendra singh Shekhawat. Jal shakt Abhiyan will campaign for water resources and water security in 256 water stressed districts, this campaign is zero funded is completely based upon the citizen participation. The model of it’s working will be executed in two phases 1st during South west monsoon and 2nd phase during North East retreating monsoon.

The government have promised Nal se JAl to provide piped drinking water in every household by 2020, being under as parent programme of Jal Jivan Mission. Shekhawat held positions in many forums and organisations; he was the co-convener of the Swadesi Jagarn Mantra, the economic wing of the Sang Parivar and the General Secretary of Seema Jan Kalyan Samiti, an organisation dedicated to strengthen national security by developing border towns and villages and that’s the reason why he can bring revolution in managing water crisis, as a common citizen we can also contribute in saving water by creating awareness around the unprivileged sectors.
